DNS - 500 ml

DNS (Dextrose Normal Saline) 500 ml is an intravenous fluid containing 5% Dextrose in 0.9% Sodium Chloride. It is one of the most commonly used maintenance IV fluids in veterinary medicine, providing both hydration and caloric support simultaneously.

Composition: Dextrose 5 g + Sodium Chloride 0.9 g per 100 ml (500 ml bottle).

Indications: Maintenance fluid therapy during surgery and recovery. Dehydration with concurrent hypoglycaemia. Electrolyte and glucose replacement. Post-operative fluid management. Supportive therapy in anorexic and debilitated patients.

Directions for Use: Administer intravenously via an appropriate IV set at a rate calculated by the attending veterinarian based on body weight, hydration status, and clinical condition.

Storage: Store at room temperature away from direct sunlight. Do not use if the solution is discoloured or has visible particles. Single use only.
